Methodology

• Location names reflect as much as possible the contemporary names of the event. For example, Ile-Jesus will be used for the events dating before the creation of Laval.
  
  
• By default Canada and province of Quebec are omitted when the event is situated in Quebec. Canada only is omitted when the event is situated somewhere else in Canada. Somewhere else in the world we shall thus have the parish and\or the city, the state or the region and the country. For example, Dubuque, Iowa, United States.
  
  
• As much as possible we adopt the standardization of names used in the PRDH
